To quote Thomas Jefferson, "We in America do not have government by the majority. We have government by the majority who participate." So how do we get people to participate? We do not need to have the most registered voters to win these elections, we just need to have a higher percentage of our registered voters to actually get off their duffs and make the effort to go to their polling place and cast their ballots for our candidates. We need to emphasize the importance of exercising our privilige of voting for the candidates that will best represent the philosophies and policies that we believe will strengthen our country and preserve our liberties. We must make clear the cost of inaction and the price that we will pay for trading away our liberty for the mere illusion of security. In turning over the control of our health care to the government, increased regulations over many different businesses and the environment, increased taxes, and increasing the scope of emminant domain, all diminish our freedoms. We need to energize and stimulate our voters so that our nation does not peacefully surrender to the Socialist philosophies that we have fought at great costs for many decades.
